DIA via Las Vegas Channel 8 I-TeamThe modern understanding of the Pentagon’s relationship with unexplained flying phenomena has become remarkably more pointed in the last six months since the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program was uncovered. Its disclosure came in between our own exclusive reporting on two very strange and well-documented encounters with strange aircraft operating in U.S. airspace. Now, new documents are coming to light that show the Department of Defense’s own spy agency was also interested in subjects that border on science fiction and the even the paranormal, including warp drive, extra-dimensional manipulation, dark energy, and other highly exotic forms of space travel.
The documents were first discovered by George Knapp’s I-Team, part of Las Vegas CBS affiliate Channel 8 News, which has been investigating the government’s supposed connection with ‘UFOs’ for decades.
Author’s note 5/14/18: It has come to our attention that the documents were in fact first posted by Corey Goode late last year shortly after the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program was first disclosed.
Recently Knapp has been digging deeper into Bigelow Aerospace—which is located in Las Vegas—and its starring role in the previously classified program. It is no secret that Robert Bigelow, a former real estate developer turned inflatable space station entrepreneur, has been highly interested in UFOs, but the depth of the company’s official relationship with the Defense Department regarding the topic was something entirely unheard of before the disclosure of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program occurred in December 2017.
Abbreviated AATIP, that effort, and its funding, sprang from Nevada Senator Harry Reid’s interest in the topic, along with that of a Defense Intelligence Agency official. The program, which eventually cost $22 million and ran roughly between 2008 and 2012, began after Bigelow won the contract, apparently to investigate UFO sightings, along with pretty much everything else that goes along with the topic for better or worse, on behalf of the military.
A team of nearly 50 scientists, analysts, and investigators were assembled to work on the program, which was originally and very cryptically dubbed the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications (AAWSA) Program before gaining its more recent moniker. The contract between the DIA and Bigelow made sure not to spell out its focus, instead referring to exotic technologies without mentioning UFOs. The I-Team writes:
“The agreement with DIA did not mention UFOs at all. It used more generic terms such as future threats and breakthrough technologies, and specified 12 focal points including, lift, propulsion, materials, versions of stealth as well as human interface and human effects.”

It was under the AAWSA name that the organization funded at least two studies into advanced propulsion and space technology research that border on the fantastical. The first of these studies, dated March 29, 2010, deals with “advanced space propulsion” for faster-than-light travel, discussing theoretical physical constructs such as “spacetime-altered regions” and “gravity/antigravity” forces. The second study, which the AAWSA program published on April 2, 2010, covers similar ground, but also includes discussions about “dark energy” and “extra dimensions.”
The AAWSA experts did this work under the auspices of DIA’s Defense Warning Office, which makes good sense, at least conceptually. This organization first came into being in 2002 and is “charged with identifying sources of increasing threats to U.S. interests in critical regions,” according to an official briefing.

“This office will also identify opportunities to affect adversary behavior prior to and in the early stages of a crisis.” that presentation notes. In 2003, these tasks expanded to also include work “to provide the earliest possible warning of technological developments that could undermine U.S. military preeminence.”
UFO sightings are often indications of advanced and secret military aircraft research and development projects. Having a team of experts try and determine if any of the reports translated to real programs, especially those that potential opponents such as Russia or China might have been working on, would be well with DIA’s mandate for the office.
That AAWSA team would have delved into known developments in associated fields would also make sense in this context. If America’s adversaries were rapidly advancing toward practical warp drives and other advanced propulsion and space research, DIA would definitely want to know in order to help inform U.S. policy responses.
“These studies are so loaded with information,” Senator Reid reportedly said at one point, according to Las Vegas’ Channel 8. “One thing we learned is over the decades a lot of things happen there’s no explanation for. Well there are now.”

But the applicability of these studies to the Defense Warning Office’s core mission seems dubious, as do portions of the underlying research itself. Neither report suggested that the technology they described was anywhere near practical or that any foreign government was close to achieving a relevant breakthrough.
“This paper has considered the possibility—even likelihood—that future developments with regard to advanced aerospace technologies will trend in the direction of manipulating the underlying spacetime structure of the vacuum of space itself by processes that can be called vacuum engineering or metric engineering,” the March 2010 study says in its final discussion section. “Far from being simply a fanciful concept, a significant literature exists in peer-reviewed, Tier 1 physics publications in which the topic is explored in detail.”
“The idea that a sufficiently advanced technology may interact with, and acquire direct control over, the higher dimensions is a tantalizing possibility, and one that is most certainly worthy of deeper investigation,” the second document concludes. “Of course, this may not be actualized until many years in the future, but consider the many spectacular physical phenomena that are believed to be true at this early point in the 21st century.”
What these statements do clearly reflect is the vision of the primary “contractor” for these studies, EarthTech International, Inc., a small firm headquartered in Austin, Texas. This company no longer has a functional website and otherwise has a virtually non-existent presence on the internet. “We strive to translate these ideas into laboratory experiments,” according to an archived copy of the company’s website from 2017.

In 1849, British archeologist, Austin Henry Layard discovered 22,000 clay tablets in the Ancient Sumerian city of Nineveh, in an area now known as Iraq. The tablets contain cuneiform script and are one of the earliest known writing systems, created by the Sumerians 6,000 years ago.
In 1976, a man named Zecharia Sitchin published his personal translations of the Sumerian texts in a series of books called “The Earth Chronicles.“ According to Sitchin, the clay tablets describe an alien race known as the Anunnaki, who came to Earth to mine gold. Sitchin claimed extraterrestrial visited earth in the past because their home-planet needed gold to survive.. But that they also tampered with the genetics of humans when they came here.
There are many theories about the Anunnaki that could fill several volumes of books. Question is.. If the ancient Anunnaki really did exist, wouldn’t there be tangible evidence of their legacy on Earth?
Well, in 2005 a man named Johan Heine discovered an ancient city in Africa that could prove to be the missing link to the Anunnaki. Located around 150 km west of the port of Maputo, in South Africa, researchers have found the remains of a vast metropolis that measures, according to initial surveys, a staggering 1,500 square kilometers.

YES – 40 YEARS AGO I HAD A COUGAR / PUMA / NORTH AMERICAN MOUNTAIN LION FOR A HOUSE PET.
This was back “in the dark-ages” when I lived in Minneapolis and had the Flight School and Flight operation there. One of the guys we were teaching how to fly, had a business called “Cougars Unlimited”. He had several big cats of different kinds. He took them to schools, libraries and places for lectures, fun for kids and the like. One time him and I flew to Colorado Springs to pic up a Black Panther kitten he had bought. On the way back he asked if I would like to have a cat like that, and I said “YESSSSSS” !! At the time I was not thinking of them growing up – – .
A week or so later he brought me 2 Cougar kittens. One had a bone mineral deficiency, and had broken a front leg from jumping of a couch, so it had a cast on one of its legs. We nursed that one back to health in a few months, and he took it back. The other one we kept for a lot longer. The other one grew up and became a grown house-cat. It was a lovable cat. We had a good size house with three floors and the cat loved running up and down the stairs. It loved playing with kids, never growled at anybody and never bit anybody. I took the cat to the office at the airport some times, and the people there fell in love with the cat too (everybody – – except the dog who lived there). On one incident I had the cat outside by our fueling station at the airport, the telephone rang, and I had to go and get it. I tied the rope the cat was on to a pipe near the gas pumps and went in to take the phone – thinking I would be back in a couple of minutes. I must have been on the phone for 20 minutes and forgot about the cat. In a short while someone from another Flight school on the airport called and said: “Come down here and pick up your cat”. The cat had gotten itself out of the rope and wondered off down the ramp on the airport. Everybody on the airport knew I had the cat so they knew where to call. I ran down the ramp and found the cat sitting next to a training-airplane being refueled, with the student refueling the airplane standing on top of the wing and not about to get down under any circumstance. To me, it was funny, but I am sure it was not quite as funny for the young man standing on top of the airplane – and yes – it was a Cessna high wing airplane.
Another time I remember we put the cat in the back seat of the car and took it to the grocery store. We left the cat in the car, and when we came out after shopping for food, there must have been 40 people standing around the car looking at the cat. The cat seemed to enjoy it. It was a lovable cat, but it was hard on furniture – curtains – houseplants -. All this was before the “Police State” set in, so we had no permit to have the cat, because none was needed. I am not so sure this could be done any more, because now you need a Permit by government to sneeze in public. It is sure fun to think back on.

In Kosovo, found a transformer that is 20,000 years old
On the territory of Kosovo in the area of the Shar-Planina mountain ridge (Pechora Gora), a photographer and researcher Ismet Smiley, discovered a mysterious artifact that does not fit into the official history of human civilization.
It is a stone of unusual shape in which an electromagnetic coil is built. And the coil of copper wires is not simply inserted into the cut groove, but it makes up a whole with the stone, as if the stone was melted, and then gave it the necessary shape to create a transformer.
Ismet gave a sample of the stone for naliz and it was found that this stone is not less than 20,000 years old. In addition to the stone, the coil with copper wires, the artifact contains an insulator whose composition differs from the surrounding material and having convex bands in a circle resembling a carving and it is also fused into a stone, like the coil itself, and on the other side of the stone, there are 4 Symmetrically located openings, which most likely represent holes for wires and collect energy received from the transformer (phase).
This mysterious artifact from the depth of centuries can shed light on the origins of human civilization, of course, if it is officially explored by scientists who will confirm the fact that it is an electrical transformer manufactured 20,000 years ago. Just do not really believe that scientists will want to tell the truth about the mysterious find and even more to tell about it to the whole world.
Ismet says that he plans to give this artifact to scientists and there is a high probability that we will never see this artifact again, nor will we read the results of these studies. Perhaps the person himself who made this sensational discovery suddenly suddenly falls ill or begins to cross the road to the red light …
Mount Shar-Planina is one of the largest mountain ranges located on the Balkan Peninsula. Its length is more than 200 kilometers, and this ridge in a certain sense unites Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania, as it passes all these territories at once.
The name of the mountain is translated from Albanian as “motley mountain”. The highest points of the Shar-Planina mountain range are peaks – Titov-Vrkh and Turchin, whose height exceeds 2700 meters. At the base of the ridge are crystalline schists, limestones and dolomites, as well as karst landscapes and caves.

B: The Universe, or what is referred to as ‘space’, seems to be a kind of ethereal void, populated here and there by stars, planets, occasional meteors, comets and such like.
A: The Universe seems like a vast and mysterious place, but when you consider that it is contained within a dew drop or a human cell, it becomes less distant. In fact, it becomes very immediate.
I refer, of course, to the microcosmic condensation of the macrocosm.
What is ‘space’? It is not what it seems. The word does not describe the reality. It seems void because you are only using your five senses to analyse it. There is no ‘space’, the area referred to is full of energy. An energy field. But you don’t recognize that which you can’t experience with your five senses.
B: What other sense do we possess, other than that which recognizes reality through touch, sight, taste, smell and sound?
A: We have our perception and intuition; these are receptors that pick up vibrational messages due to the absolute interconnectivity of all matter and energy. When you connect up with the source of all that is, you find that you are part of it, not distant from it. You cannot observe or experience it dispassionately – from a distance – because you yourself are part of the composition.
B: But rational observation forms the basis of all science, it enables us to understand the nature and structure of things, including the Universe. We want to understand how and what life is.
A: Such curiosity is a perfectly acceptable condition in mankind, but it arrives at the wrong answers;
unless man feels himself to be part of that which he observes. Not only this, but recognizes that he effects that which he focuses upon. Both intentionally and unintentionally.
B: How is this achieved?
A: One cannot say ‘how’ it is achieved, unless one is prepared to come at it from the opposite dimension and perception from that which one is accustomed to, in one’s experience of everyday life.
B: Oh?
A: What we experience in our typical daily lives is that which operates, almost exclusively, within the realm of the five senses. Take sight: Visible light- what we ‘see’ – constitutes less than 0.5% of what is actually ‘out there’ in our Universe. Or ‘in here’ within our microcosmic and internal Universe. So we cannot understand, within the scientific discipline which belongs to the Newtonian school of thought, how and what life is, if we only rely upon our five senses to reach our conclusion. There is a missing dimension.
B: What holds us back from being able to experience this missing dimension?
A: Almost everything which forms the experience of what we call life, here on Earth. We operate within a three-dimensional framework which has become so institutionalized that we take it to be the sum total of everything that is. Whereas actually, it constitutes something quite alien and divorced from the true state of existence: that which we experience in the fourth dimension and beyond.
B: Tell me more about the fourth dimension and beyond..
A: You already know something about this. When you fall asleep and dream, you are entering this dimension, subconsciously. When you get an ‘inkling’ about something – and then find that this inkling turned out to be true – you are also touching the fourth dimension. The problem is that, most of the time, you dismiss these experiences as being irrelevant to the tasks and needs to which you address yourself. Those tasks which form the daily diet of a materialistically aligned world. That superficial repetitive pattern which forms the central point of focus of life on earth at this time. That which broadly operates within what we call ‘the status quo’.
B: I want to understand what this ‘other dimension’ is and how to have greater access to it. I do get these ‘inklings’ from time to time, but never really questioned where they come from.
A: Alright. Intellectually, you can already get closer to the higher dimensions by using something of what (well focused) three-dimensional thinking has already been able to ascertain, concerning further dimensions.
Take that chair you’re sitting on. It appears to be hard, doesn’t it? But actually, when seen/experienced from the higher dimensional state, it is not. It is just a mass of whirling atoms, clustering together in such a way as to provoke the sense of shape and form we call a chair. If we understand correctly from science what atoms are, we would not describe them as ‘hard’. Simply as ‘energy’. Mutable energy.
Now, look at me, or look at yourself. We too, seen from the higher dimension, are also a whirling mass of energetic particles (called atoms). The only difference between us and the chair, is that we are imbued with a whole host of sentient, sensitive attributes which operate on a vibrational wave length tuned to a different (higher) frequency than that of the chair.
The fourth dimension and beyond, is actually our true home – where we come from. And in it, we exist as spirit energy. This spirit experiences life as a quantum event. Everything interconnected with everything, everywhere, at all times. This quantum state is our true reality, and everything else is a falsehood.
B: A falsehood?
A: Yes, because in our true state we are at one with all creation. Which means at one with our Creator. The Divine Source of all that Is. Whereas, in a purely five sense, three-dimensional state of existence, we do not allow ourselves access to the vibrational waves of higher awareness that constitute the true universal state of reality. The 99.5% of existence we think of as ‘beyond the realms of possibility’.
B: Is this ‘lack of connection’ the cause of our seemingly endless problems, here on Earth? Are we really living in such a tiny match box and imagining we are having a universal experience?
A: Essentially, yes. We experience most of our lives as something completely divorced from what Life actually Is. This has not come about by chance. It is a design which has been imposed upon mankind by a force whose motivation is alien to the will of the Creator, yet which vampires energy from creation. However, since we are gifted with powers that originate with our Creator, but have largely failed to apply them, we are complicit in the problem. We possess all that is needed to return life on Earth to its true state of creative resonance, but fail to do so.
We have instead, allowed ourselves to be won-round by an alien force and its accompanying false agenda: its deception. So, as we awaken to our true reality, we must use the creative, imaginative powers with which we are richly endowed, to dismiss the three-dimensional imposter. The imposer of the three-dimensional deception – that we have confused with reality. The task of mankind is to rediscover and re-establish its connection to the source of all life.
B: Are we making any progress in that direction?
A: It is called ‘waking-up’. This is an apt expression, as it suggests coming round from a state of unproductive dormancy. Universal energies, whose origins are the higher dimensions, are manifesting strongly on planet Earth at this time. The pace is quickening. The attempt to block that quickening pace and its accompanying awakening, is equally manifesting itself, increasingly obliquely. As a result, people are experiencing a critical confluence of disparate forces. The feeling, for many, is of being pulled apart; a type of dying.
The man and woman emerging out of this storm will be closer to their true state of being. Much closer. They will understand that they embody both sides of the disparate energy mix now manifesting. The alien and the true state.
They will recognize that both the creator and the destroyer exist within, and that each individual has the power of ‘free will’ to choose which to nourish into fullness. They will discover that they are in possession – and always have been – of higher instinctual and intuitive energies. Energies which, when properly directed, make it possible to avoid returning to a repetition of past errors.
They will realize that the source of their power is not their own. Does not belong to them, but is an inherited gift, a seed, whose origins rest with their Creator. Thus, rather than puff themselves up with false pride, they will honor the source from which their divine powers emanate. The life to come, here on earth and beyond, will be uniquely directed towards building upon the fruits of this deepening recognition.
In this way God and Man will be reunited – to put it better – will rediscover their unity. Their oneness. And the quantum Universe, with open arms, will welcome back the profusion of its presently disconnected and alienated parts, and thus become whole.
At that moment, the dance of all joyous dances will manifest throughout. And the purpose of Life will be revealed.

TREES HAVE A LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATE
Ecologists Claim Trees Talk to Each Other in a Language We Can Learn:
A massive web of hair-like mushroom roots transmit secret messages between trees, triggering them to share nutrients and water with those in need.
Like humans, trees are extremely social creatures, utterly dependent on each other for their survival. And, as it is with us, communication is key.
After scientists discovered pine tree roots could transfer carbon to other pine tree roots in a lab, ecology professor Suzanne Simard set out to figure out how they did it.
What she discovered was a vast tangled web of hair-like mushroom roots — an information super highway allowing trees to communicate important messages to other members of their species and related species, such that the forest behaves as “a single organism.”
The idea that trees could share information underground was controversial. Some of Simard’s colleagues thought she was crazy.
Having trouble finding research funding, she eventually set out to conduct the experiments herself, planting 240 birch, fir and cedar trees in a Canadian forest.
She covered the seedlings with plastic bags and filled them with various types of carbon gas.
An hour later she took the bags off, ran her Geiger counter over their leaves and heard “the most beautiful sound,” she says in the Ted Talk below:
“Crrrrr… It was the sound of Birch talking to Fir,” she said.
“Birch was saying, ‘hey, can I help you?’”
“And Fir was saying yeah, can you send me some of your carbon? Somebody threw a shade cloth over me.”
She also scanned the cedar’s leaves, and as she suspected — silence. The cedar was in its own world. It was not connected into the fungal web linking birches and firs.
The birch and fir were in a “lively two-way conversation,” Simard says
When the fir was shaded by the birch in summer, the birch sent more carbon to it. When the birch was leafless in the winter, the fir sent more carbon to it.
The two trees were totally interdependent, Simard discovered, “like yin and yang.”
That’s when Simard knew she was onto something big… In the past, we assumed trees were competing with each other for carbon, sunlight, water and nutrients. But Simard’s work showed us trees were also cooperators.
They communicate by sending mysterious chemical and hormonal signals to each other via the mycelium, to determine which trees need more carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and carbon, and which trees have some to spare, sending the elements back and forth to each other until the entire forest is balanced.
“The web is so dense there can be hundreds of kilometers of mycelium under a single foot step,” Simard says.
The mycelium web connects mother trees with baby trees, allowing them to feed their young.
A single mother tree can provide nourishment for hundreds of smaller trees in the under-story of her branches, she says.
Mother trees even recognize their kin, sending them more mycelium and carbon annd reducing their own root size to make room for their babies.
This new understanding of tree communication had Simard worried about the implications of clear-cutting.
When mother trees are injured or dying, they send their wisdom onto the next generation. They can’t do this is if they are all wiped out at once.
“You can take out one or two hub trees, but there comes a tipping point, if you take out one too many, the whole system collapses,” she says.
Often clear-cut forests are replanted with only one or two species. “These simplified forests lack complexity making them vulnerable to infection and bugs.”
To ensure the survival of the planet’s lungs at a time when they are most crucial, Simard suggests four simple solutions to end the damage caused by clear cutting :
1. Get out in the forest more — this in and of itself will remind us how interdependent we are on this ecosystem.
2. Save old growth forests as repositories of genes, mother trees and mycelium networks.
3. Where we do cut, save the “legacy” trees so they can pass on important information to the next generation.
4. Regenerate cut patches with diverse native species.

OIL IS ON ITS WAY OUT – A CAR THAT RUNS ON WATER FOR FUEL
This car is powered by salt water: 920HP, top speed 217.5 MPH, 373 miles/tank
It works just like a hydrogen fuel cell except that the liquid used for storing energy is saltwater. This isn’t far from the water powered car, an idea labelled as a conspiracy by many despite the massive amount of evidence behind it. You can read more about that here.
In this case (saltwater) the liquid passes through a membrane in between the two tanks, creating an electric charge. This electricity is then stored and distributed by super capacitors. The four electric motors in the car are fed electricity which makes it run. The car carries the water in two 200-litre tanks, which in one sitting will allow drivers to travel up to 373 miles (600km). Overall, the four-seater is 5.25 metres (16.4ft) long, 2.2 metres wide (7.2ft), the 1.35 metre (4.4ft).

Nanoflowcell AG is the company behind the design, and they are currently preparing the technology for mass production.

This is huge news, and is another example out of so many that clearly show how we have so many ways to do better here. Although money remains an issue, it doesn’t have to be.
All cars should be required to be made from this type, or other similar types of clean green energy. A few years ago, if you told somebody it’s possible to fuel a car by pouring saltwater into it, they would have called you a conspiracy theorist.
Last Year The U.S Navy Developed a Technology To Create Fuel From Seawater
Scientists at the U.S Naval Research Laboratory have developed a technology to recover carbon dioxide and hydrogen from seawater and convert it into a liquid hydrocarbon fuel. This could be a tremendous breakthrough and eliminate the need for old ways of generating fuel.
It’s just another example of the many ways of generating energy that are now available that could end our dependence on fossil fuels. These new, clean green ways of generating energy have been around for decades, so why are we always talking about them without ever implementing them?
“Refueling U.S. Navy Vessels, at sea, is a costly endeavor in terms of logistics, time, fiscal constraints and threats to national security sailors at sea. In Fiscal year 2011, the U.S. Navy Military Sea Lift Command, the primary supplier of fuel and oil to the U.S. Navy fleet, delivered nearly 600 million gallons of fuel to Navy vessels underway, operating 15 fleet replenishment oilers around the globe.” (source)
The Navy successfully used the new fuel-from seawater process to power a radio-controlled scale-model replica of a World War II aircraft with an internal combustion engine. Below is the footage from the test flight.

Researchers say that this approach could be commercially viable within the next seven to ten years. They state interest in pursuing land-based options that could provide a solution to our current problems.
Again, another option, and example showing the power of human potential, so what’s stopping us from the implementation of cleaner and greener technologies?
Not long ago, Department of Defence adviser Dr. Harold Puthoff made some noteworthy comments while discussing the reality of free energy. This is what he said:
“I’ve been taken out on aircraft carriers by the Navy and shown what it is we have to replace if we have new energy sources to provide new fuel methods.”

New light field displays effectively simulate teleportation
A Queen’s University researcher will soon unveil TeleHuman 2 — the world’s first truly holographic videoconferencing system. TeleHuman2 allows people in different locations to appear before one another in life-size 3D — as if they were in the same room.
“People often think of holograms as the posthumous Tupac Shakur performance at Coachella 2012,” says Roel Vertegaal, Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at the Queen’s University School of Computing. “Tupac’s image, however, was not a hologram but a Pepper Ghost: A two-dimensional video projected on a flat piece of glass. With TeleHuman 2, we’re bringing actual holograms to life.”

Using a ring of intelligent projectors mounted above and around a retro-reflective, human-sized cylindrical pod, Dr. Vertegaal’s team has been able to project objects as light fields that can be walked around and viewed from all sides simultaneously by multiple users — much like Star Trek’s famed, fictional ‘holodeck’. Capturing the remote 3D image with an array of depth cameras, his team has ‘teleported’ live, 3D images of a human from one room to another — a feat that is set to revolutionize human telepresence. Because the display projects a light field with many images, one for every degree of angle, users need not wear a headset or 3D glasses to experience each other in augmented reality.
“Face-to-face interaction transfers an immense amount of non-verbal information,” says Dr. Vertegaal, who is also the head of the Queen’s Human Media Lab. “This information is lost in online tools, promoting poor online behaviours. Users miss the proxemics, gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact that bring nuance, emotional connotation and ultimately empathy to a conversation. TeleHuman 2 injects these missing elements into long-distance conversations with a realism that cannot be achieved with a Skype or Facetime video chat.”
Dr. Vertegaal first debuted the TeleHuman technology in 2012, but at that time the device only allowed for a single viewer to see the holographic projection correctly. With TeleHuman 2, multiple participants are able to see their holographic friend or colleague, each from their individual perspective. To test the system, Dr. Vertegaal had users judge angles at which a robotic arrow, mounted on a tripod, was pointing whilst physically present in the room, and whilst rendered on the TeleHuman 2. They did not judge the angles between the real and the virtual representation as significantly different.
“In a professional environment like a meeting, our latest edition of TeleHuman technology will do wonders for attendees looking to address colleagues with eye contact or to more effectively manage turn taking” says Dr. Vertegaal. “But it has potential beyond professional situations. Think again of a large music festival, and now imagine a performer capable of appearing simultaneously, and in true 3D, on TeleHuman 2 devices throughout the venue — bringing a whole new level of audience intimacy to a performance. The TeleHuman technology could even mitigate environmental impacts of business travel — enabling organizations to conduct more engaging and effective meetings from a distance, rather than having to appear in person. ”
Dr. Vertegaal and his collaborators will be presenting TeleHuman 2 to the general public at the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, the premier international conference on Human-Computer Interaction, in Montreal, Canada on April 25, 2018.

Federal Court proves government loyalty to Big Pharma
… rules CBD has no medical value
A federal appeals court ruled against the thousands of people who have experienced the life-saving effects of CBD oil by upholding the decision that the substance is a Schedule 1 drug.
Washington, D.C. – (TFTP) The United States hemp industry was dealt a major blow on Monday after the federal U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a decision by the Drug Enforcement Agency to list cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD, which is a non-psychoactive cannabis derivative, as a Schedule 1 controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act.
The hemp industry brought a lawsuit against the government in 2016, when the DEA issued a “clarifying rule” that claimed CBD was an illicit drug, due to it being a byproduct of cannabis flowers. A report in the Denver Post explained:
Represented by Denver-based cannabis law firm Hoban Law Group, the Hemp Industries Association and other hemp businesses challenged the DEA’s rule and alleged the agency overstepped its bounds by essentially scheduling substances — notably cannabinoids — that were not classified as illicit in the Controlled Substances Act. Additionally, they argued, the hemp-derived extracts rich in CBD, or cannabinol, are protected under state laws and Farm Bill provisions.
The rule could be misinterpreted by other federal and local agencies, lead to unlawful product seizures and chill a booming multibillion-dollar hemp products industry, Hoban attorneys had said.
The DEA countered by claiming that they had simply provided clarification to existing law, stating that their move “makes no substantive change to the government’s control of any substance.”
Rather than acknowledge the distinct difference between industrial hemp, which contains virtually no psychoactive properties, and THC-laden marijuana that produce strong psychoactive effects, the DEA argued that CBD is made from the flowering parts of the cannabis plant, and cannabinoids “are found in the parts of the cannabis plant that fall within the … definition of marijuana, such as the flowering tops, resin, and leaves.”
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals agreed that the DEA had the authority to clarify CBD as a “marijuana extract,” but CBD producers vowed to appeal the decision.
“We will be appealing, and we will be funding that appeal,” said Michael Brubeck, CEO of Centuria Natural Foods and a plaintiff in the case. Centuria was joined in its challenge by the Hemp Industries Association.
In the decision, the three-judge panel said the plaintiffs had failed to take the opportunity to comment during the DEA’s rule-making process, thus nullifying the majority of their challenge to the classification.
Additionally, the court said the rule was not in violation of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (Farm Bill), which contained industrial hemp provisions that defined hemp as cannabis sativa L. plants with less than 0.3 percent concentration of psychoactive THC.
“The Agricultural Act contemplates potential conflict between the Controlled Substances Act and pre-empts it,” the judges wrote.
Attorney Bob Hoban, in a statement on Wednesday, said his clients are weighing whether to request a rehearing due to concerns about the safety and security of those who make and sell hemp extracts, including CBD.
“Though we appreciate the court’s finding in favor of the legitimacy of the Farm Bill’s hemp amendment, we are still disappointed with the court’s findings that the final rule does not interfere with lawful, hemp-related business activities, as even 29 members of Congress confirmed in their Amicus Brief to the Court,” Hoban wrote. “Given the pervasive confusion and irreconcilable conflicts of the law that have led to product seizures, arrests and criminal charges against those involved in the lawful hemp industry, the petitioners believe that the final rule must be invalidated, absent the court clarifying and further resolving these conflicts and their severe consequences.”
Interestingly, an advisory committee for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in mid-April approved the first pharmaceutical grade cannabidiol (CBD) medicine to treat severe epilepsy. In a unanimous decision, the committee voted to recommend GW Pharmaceuticals drug Epidiolex for approval.
There is a clear movement afoot to take a natural product like CBD oil and turn it into an FDA approved drug—something that clearly has the potential to limit the access people have to a natural medicine. Motherboard reported last year on the drug industry lobbying for legislation that would outlaw CBD oil by classifying it as a drug.
The report also noted that “corporate lobbyists in more than 20 states are currently pushing to make sure the pharmaceutical industry has the only legal supply of CBD.” Thus, it appears the Big Pharma takeover of CBD is well underway.
Last month Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced legislation that would legalize hemp as an agricultural product. The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 would also remove the product from the federal government’s schedule of controlled substances while authorizing it to be sold as an agricultural commodity. The bill is co-sponsored by Sens. Ron Wyden and Rand Paul.
Forward-thinking lawmakers in cannabis-friendly Colorado have already passed a bill to regulate hemp products, including CBD, like food products. The bill currently awaits the signature of Gov. John Hickenlooper.

Liquorice root repairs even severe liver damage
Most of us should know by now that one of the pitfalls of alcohol consumption is liver damage.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, 38,170 Americans died from chronic liver disease (cirrhosis) in 2014. Of these, at least 19,388 were alcohol-related liver disease.
Indeed. Alcohol can kill. Another CDC study found that 10 percent of all American deaths in working-age adults between 2006 and 2010 were caused by excessive alcohol consumption. These were related to both liver disease and motor vehicle incidents.
Alcohol is a leading cause of cirrhosis. Other toxins that cause liver disease include many pharmaceutical chemicals and a number of other environmental chemicals such as acetone, Roundup® (glyphosate) and others.
Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) reduces liver damage.
Liver enzymes
Ongoing liver damage can be readily recognized by testing one’s liver enzymes. The liver produces a number of enzymes in an attempt to repair the damage from toxins like alcohol. The most tested enzymes include alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT). Heightened levels of these three enzymes identify liver damage. They can indicate overuse of alcohol, pharmaceuticals or other toxic chemicals.
For the record, here are the normal levels of these three liver enzymes:
- Normal AST is 10 to 40 units per liter (U/L)
- Normal ALT is 7 to 56 U/L
- Normal GGT is 3 to 85 U/L
Levels that are double or triple these indicate mild liver damage. Higher levels indicate serious liver damage. Serious cases can have levels that are ten to even a 100 times these levels.
Doctors may also test levels of alkaline phosphatase and glutathione to gauge liver health. Alkaline phosphatase is a liver enzyme that breaks down liver-harming chemicals. Glutathione is an antioxidant nutrient produced in the liver. It reduces oxidizing elements from the liver and bloodstream.
Like the other three liver enzymes above, high alkaline phosphatase and glutathione levels also indicate liver damage from toxins.

Licorice root halts liver alcohol-induced damage
A study from Texas’ Creighton University tested 12 healthy people. In this crossover study, half the subjects were tested with an extract of licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) and the other half were given a placebo. Those who took the placebo for the first part of the study were then given the licorice for another 12 days.
This sort of crossover trial produces good study results because it doubles the effective treatment groups. It also better eliminates chance or other causes.
During the study, the subjects drank vodka in the clinic for 12 days, until achieving 0.12% blood alcohol. At the same time, they took either the licorice extract or the placebo. The licorice extract was standardized to glycyrrhizin.
ALT, AST and GGT liver enzymes were tested on the first, sixth and 12th visits to the clinic. Those who did not take the licorice had significantly increased levels of all three liver enzymes over the 12 days of alcohol consumption.
But in the licorice group, none of the three liver enzymes increased during the 12 days.
Furthermore, the researchers found those who took the licorice extract showed significantly decreased levels of alkaline phosphatase and glutathione levels in comparison with the placebo group.
The researchers concluded:
“These results suggest that consumption of the proprietary glycyrrhizin study product [licorice extract] during alcohol consumption may support improved liver health compared with drinking alcohol alone.”
Other studies find licorice reduces liver enzymes
This isn’t the first study that has shown licorice and its primary glycyrrhizin extract reduce liver injury. In 2012, researchers tested 66 patients diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. They gave half two grams per day of a licorice extract for two months. The other half of the group were given a placebo.
The group given the placebo did not have any reduction in liver enzymes after the two months.
However, the group given the licorice extract had significant decreases in ALT and AST. Their ALT levels dropped from an average of 64 IU/mL to 51 IU/mL. Their average AST levels dropped from 58 IU/mL to 49 IU/mL after two months of the licorice extract.
Another study tested 18 patients and 98 control patients with liver failure. They gave 18 patients licorice extract intravenously for three months. The 98 control patients were given usual supportive care.
Those patients receiving the licorice extract had an average 72 percent survival rate. The control group had an average 31 percent survival rate.
Probiotics also improve liver enzymes
A 2008 study from Russia’s Northern State Medical University studied 66 Russian males with alcohol-related liver damage. The researchers found that the alcoholics had reduced probiotic levels compared to 24 healthy adults who did not consume alcohol.
The researchers also found that those treated with probiotic supplements had significantly decreased levels of ALT, AST and GGT after only five days of supplementation.
Yes, that was only five days of supplementing with probiotics.
Other measures
Measures to reduce liver enzymes also include milk thistle. Milk thistle’s silymarin and silybin content seem to be mostly responsible. Discover other strategies to increase liver health and cleanse the body from toxins:
